Web3 security firm Syvers has confirmed that attackers were able to add their addresses to PlayDip as mining. Next, producing 200 million PLA tokens worth approximately $31 million.

These ill-gotten gains were quickly dispersed to various addresses, with an estimated $5.9 million worth of stolen PLA tokens transferred to crypto exchange Gate.io.

In a recent statement, PlayDap highlighted the seriousness of the breach and outlined immediate measures to address the damage. The company has notified all partner exchanges to suspend trading to prevent the distribution of unauthorized tokens.

In an effort to control the situation, PlayDapp has announced that it will transfer all PLA held by PlayDapp to a new secure wallet, both locked and unlocked holdings. This move aims to protect PLA assets from further risk.

“We contacted the hackers directly via chain message and offered a reward for the immediate return of the stolen contracts and assets. Failure to accept this offer will prompt us to work more quickly with the FBI and other law enforcement agencies in pursuit of the hacker, Playdap said.
