Voted by Amazon Polly.

Malcolm DeGoddess, known on social media as “the man in the glasses,” asked presidential candidate Donald Trump a question at an NFT event in Mar-a-Lago earlier this month — and it sparked the crypto revolution. Washington

We found out what Malcolm thinks about his little piece in crypto history and the story behind those gaudy sunglasses.

1. Tyler Winklevoss recently tweeted, “A man in glasses has completely flipped the crypto fortunes in Washington. How do you feel about this?

I think – Brian Armstrong and Paul Grewal or the Blockchain Society – were the smartest people on the Hill who gave their lives to crypto regulation and made the US a safe haven or at least somewhere. Groups can work.

While I feel like my question played a bit into this and expressed many of the concerns of the everyday crypto person, I'm very aware that it wasn't just my question that helped turn the tide of the fight. Regulation in the United States.

2. Some say it was actually the handshake between Donald Trump and Mesari CEO Ryan Selkis that did it. what do you think?

It is a combination of things. You have the Blockchain Society and their work. I saw that Balaji had given Ryan Selkis the ‘1-trillion dollar handshake' and my question played a small role. I think it's been a long struggle to be honest.

All crypto execs in America, spend their time in Washington DC; They have been doing this for years. So, of course, you can try to point to a moment or a handshake or a question as a turning point.

But honestly, in the long arc of the story, this is a battle that took some time. So, I don't feel anything about Ryan Selkis or Range. [the] Blockchain Association Poll. I'm just trying to see crypto win, and I love that there are so many crypto natives fighting for it.

3) What about ‘glasses?' What is the story behind them?

So, one of the most popular memecoins on Ethereum is a memecoin called MOG, and Mog is this diehard community that's gathered around this memecoin, which means “winning” in popular culture.

And so, if you look at my profile on Twitter and a lot of my friends and crypto natives, we have these Pit Vipers on our profile pictures, which shows Mog.

So before we went to Mar-a-Lago, a guy from the Mog team came over to our house and handed us the Pit Vipers and said, ‘Hey, you guys want to wear these to a Trump event. It's wonderful, and we said, ‘It would be our honor.' So, here's the story behind Pete Vipers – we were cheering at a Trump event.

4) How did you find yourself at a Trump event anyway?

Trump and the NFT team approached us for some advice. I'm the chief of staff at DeGods, so I work on the NFT suite, and when they were about to do the first minute, they approached our CEO for some strategic questions and advice on positioning and how the NFT markets work. .

I didn't actually get hold of any of the Trump NFTs, but for helping us out, they gave us an invitation to the VIP room of the Mar-a-Lago event, which was a Q&A before the main dinner.

5) What are your thoughts on this so-called crypto “pivot” in Washington? Where do you see it going?

There is a long way to go for control. This is a time you can enjoy because you are acknowledging us and you are acknowledging the crypto community.

But even with the previous FIT21 [in the House]It still has to go through the Senate bill community, and they have to approve a law or renew it, and it has to go through the Senate, and the Senate is not very crypto now.

Crypto has a long way to go in the US.

I have a feeling the Trump administration will continue to support it. After Mar-a-Lago, they started a campaign donation drive, which is awesome. “Crypto in the US is here to stay” is not a black and white answer.

I have been working in space for three years since I was 20 years old.

I originally got into it through an NYU professor who gave me an assigned reading of a Bitcoin white paper. It's stuck ever since.

There was a small individual studies program at NYU where I developed a degree called Blockchain and Business. The lecture was “Finance for Social Theorists” taught by Prof. Peter V. Rajsingh.
