99.6% of Pamp.fun traders have not locked in more than $10K profit: Info
All traders on Pump.fun, a decentralized platform for creating Solana-based memecoins, have yet to realize more than $10,000 in total profits, according to recent Dune data.
However, Onchain analysts argue that the data does not give a clear picture of how many crypto traders are actually making profits on the platform.
Onchain Analytics Platform Dune Analyst Adam Tehc said in a January 10 X post, “If you realize trading $10,000, you're a high 0.412% wallet of Pump.fun's tokens.” Realized profit or loss is calculated after traders close their positions (sell the crypto they hold).
Most Pump.fun traders have yet to realize more than $10,000 in profits.
According to Dune data, 55,296 of the 13.55 million total Pamp.fun wallet addresses have earned more than $10,000.
The data showed that making six-figure and seven-figure profits was rare.
Only 0.048% of traders still realize more than $100,000, while only 0.00217% realized more than $1,000,000 – around 293 wallets.
Anonymous onchain analyst Alon, in a post to his 79,700X followers on January 10, 2010, “Buying Coins After Linking to Radium” Calculating Profits and Losses.
“Therefore, the actual profitable and extremely profitable wallet number is likely to be an order of magnitude greater than the exhibit,” Alon said.
Pump.fun sees strong revenue despite memecoin market price drop
After raising sufficient liquidity, the memecoins produced on Pamp.fun are typically traded for Radium on a decentralized exchange.

Alon also takes into account that the data does not take unrealized profits – crypto profits are still sold – into account.
“Some of the most profitable wallets are early adopters who have deep faith in wallets,” Alon said.
Meanwhile, Pamp.fun's total revenue is approaching $400 million, despite the decline in memecoins' total market capitalization in December.
On January 2, Blockchain analytics platform Lookonchain reported that Pump.fun received 2,016,391 SOL tokens, pushing its total revenue to $398 million.
Pump.fun has reportedly invested more than $300 million in SOL tokens into Kraken and converted $41 million into dollar coins.
