Trump Takes Elon Musk, Tim Cook, Wall Street Chiefs to China to Open Trade Deals
Citing a White House official, Bloomberg reported on Monday that the White House, along with President Donald Trump, is bringing several US business leaders to China.
The delegation is expected to include executives from leading technology, financial, semiconductor, aerospace and industrial companies as the administration seeks to advance trade talks and investment deals with Beijing.
Executives reportedly attending include Elon Musk, Tim Cook, David Solomon, Larry Fink and representatives from companies such as Qualcomm, Cisco Systems, Micron Technology and General Electric.
It is the first visit by a US president to China since Trump's own trip in November 2017, when he and Xi announced a $250 billion trade deal.
