A child-friendly history of Bitcoin and money
Arkadys Blazica was inspired to write his new children's book, Valley of Prosperity, to inform readers about the power of choice, as he explains in the author's note.
“Money is not just a means of exchanging things; it also determines the quality of our lives. Remember, no matter what money the rulers supply, we free people have the power to decide which money we want to use and save.”
Blazicka told Cointelegraph that knowledge is the key to prosperity, so education about good money should be included in the home curriculum.
And while the book is intended for children ages 6 and up, adults may also find it a useful resource.
The book aims to explain Bitcoin (BTC) and its relatedness in 57 pages with a friendly dragon theme illustrated by Ewelina Oleksiak.
Bitcoin withdrawal
Although Bitcoin has only been around since 2008, the concept of money has been around for thousands of years. According to historians, the first coins were coined in the 7th century BC and the first paper money was created around 1020 AD.
Understanding what Bitcoin is and its importance for the future of society is a very challenging task, and there have been heated debates about its purpose and effectiveness. The struggle is understandable; If adopted, it could change how people understand money.

Valley of Prosperity explains everything needed to reach Bitcoin's ultimate destination, from the idea of the dual-coincidence of money and demand, to the creation of a gold standard and its replacement by fiat currencies, as well as value Satoshi Nakamoto's importance of anonymity and decentralization.
Dragons and the importance of money
The Valley of Prosperity is a prosperous valley with a beloved king who rules the land not for himself but for the people.
The community of this delightful setting is inhabited by friendly dragons that resemble Falkor from The NeverEnding story.
The inhabitants of the prosperous valley live happily under the loyal rule of King Invictus when he introduces the concept of a gold-backed currency (after many experiments with small commodities such as salt and cows).
The continuity of the dynasty was ensured by two sons, one noble and the other wicked and lazy.
A dark age begins when the evil boy Lufer takes over. The new king would print money not backed by gold and weaken his opposition to the new monetary policy with the 71 guards commanded by General Nixon – US President Richard Nixon in 2011. It is a loose reference to the fraud that took the US dollar off the gold standard in 1971. .
Hyperinflation plagues the kingdom, and Blazyca Loafers includes a section that controls the public through central bank digital currency (CBDC) — a common criticism of CBCCs in the crypto community.
In this confusion, a wise anonymous person introduced Bitcoin as a solution to the current corrupt currency inflation.
Children may need adult guidance
Although the author intends to summarize the history of the origin of money, the book may be too long depending on the child's reading ability. At times, the book seems to convey the origins of money rather than explaining what Bitcoin is.
While the charming dragon theme and vivid illustrations provide an engaging background, some children may find it challenging to follow the intricacies of the financial world as described in the text.
Adults should help young readers of Valley of Prosperity. While Blazyca tries to turn complex topics into easy-to-read fables, complex words are inevitable.
Accounting, inflation, digital money, etc. for a child aged 6 to 10 years. Without the support of an adult, you can get away from the story.
Carefully explained, the complex vocabulary provides a valuable opportunity for meaningful dialogue between parents and children.
