A pro-XRP advocate has set a $1M campaign goal, confident of winning the Senate bid.
Pro-XRP lawyer John Deaton said he is ready to take on cryptocurrency critic Senator Elizabeth Warren in the Massachusetts Senate race, asking her to fund his big crypto-friendly social media campaign.
In a post on X, Dayton told his 324,100 followers that he had put $500,000 of his own money into his Senate campaign. He said he's hopeful he can challenge Warren, even though she's held the seat for 11 years.
“I can win. Some people mistakenly believe that Elizabeth Warren can't be beaten in Massachusetts, and that's not true.”
I knew I could win, so I put in $500,000 of my own money. Please help me reach $1 million by March 31st. Donate traditionally or through Crypto because freedom is on the line. https://t.co/qgDX3PTWJQ

The election is scheduled for September 3. Although Diaton contributed 50% of the campaign funds, he called on his followers to raise an additional $500,000, which could be given in cash or crypto.
“You have to believe in yourself. If I can support myself, I will, because freedom is on the line. I need your help. I'm trying to raise $1 million by the end of the quarter,” Deaton said.
On March 4th, Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson told his followers that the country needs “people who are willing to base our laws on the banks and destroy the crypto industry” and donate to Dayton's campaign.
