Aethir Ai Launches $100M Fund To Accelerate Game Innovation

Aether, a provider of decentralized graphics processing unit (GPU) cloud computing, has announced the launch of a $100 million Aether Ecosystem Fund to accelerate artificial intelligence and game innovation.

The initiative, which includes the Aethir Catalyst program, is designed to provide high-performance GPU resources to startups and enterprises.

Next year, the fund will distribute 336 million ATH tokens with an equal focus on AI and gaming projects.

Atir CEO Daniel Wang told Cointelegraph that the $100 million fund will address the needs startups and enterprises face when trying to access high-performance GPU resources.

AI and game support

ETIR's Catalyst Program is the foundation of the fund, allocating $20 million to support more than 100 projects through grants and subsidies.

According to Mark Ryden, Co-Founder and Chief Security Officer at ATR, the fund represents an effort to democratize access to GPUs and reduce the financial barriers that companies in these sectors face.

By allocating $20 million from the Aether Foundation's $100 million ecosystem fund to this fund, we are making sure that the most promising companies have the resources they need to develop in these areas and lower the barriers to access to computing power for everyone.

Funding and criteria

The 336 million ATH tokens, which will be distributed equally between AI and gaming projects, will be used to build strategic partnerships and support innovation in various fields.

The fund's distribution model aims to reduce computing costs for companies integrating AI, machine learning or high-interest gaming applications.

In addition to grants, the fund includes a subsidy program that covers up to 35% of the cost of off-platform GPU services, allowing companies to access high-performance computing without the upfront costs.

Aether has partnered with MetaGravity for an expandable deep game.

On June 25, Aethir partnered with MetaGravity's HyperScale Engine developers to accelerate the development of Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Networks (DePINs).

The partnership was established to improve the 3D Internet and gaming industry with DePIN technology to create a scalable infrastructure to simplify game development.

Dan Wang, co-founder and CEO of Atir, told Cointelegraph that the goal of the collaboration is to unify an “untapped global network of resources.”
