ToggleOff The Grid will pay you $500 to get the cheat software
The hottest web3 game of the moment, Off the Grid, has been declared “unplayable” by some gamers who are frustrated by all the cheats. In response, Gunzilla Games has upgraded its anti-cheat detection systems and is offering a $500 reward to anyone who busts unknown cheating software that offers tools like aimbots, wallhacks, and god mode.
Game content creator Inspector Mindblow said in an Oct. 24 X post that “Off the Grid is unplayable due to cheaters,” adding that cheaters have crashed the game in more than half of its sessions.
“I've only played 5 games and 3 of them had cheaters and they ruined my experience. I love the game and I hope they can fix this, but it has to happen fast.”
He didn't mention how the cheaters pulled it all off, but many Reddit users on the Off The Grid subreddit are complaining about guns that fire faster and can even shoot through walls, making it impossible for the good guys. -Two-footed, rule-following players to follow.
“4 people reported robbery with very long range automatic rifles. 100% scam,” wrote Reddit user Holdthedoor949.
1 Castle echoed a similar complaint, “I'm seeing super-fast guns that just blast people through walls and everything.” This is sad.”
“I don't understand people who do that,” added game analyst Skorioks.
Redditor D1SKON argues that the scam is because scammers believe they can “make money once the currency is recognized.” The game is launching a token called GUN and a crypto-based marketplace, and is reportedly planning to add non-vulnerable tokens (NFTs).
Some believe that with the game still in early access, it's on a slippery slope if rampant cheating isn't addressed soon.
“Sad fact now Off the Grid will die if it doesn't fix optimization + fraud issues. No amount of marketing or public relations can fix it. I love this game, and I don't want to see it fail, but in this case there was 0 reason to launch, the game stream has “Inhuman” written all over it.
According to the official Discord channel, if you see any cheat software messing with the game, put as much detail as possible in the Cheat Hunting channel. If you are up to something, the Gunzilla team will contact you.
But it's selfish – if more than one person reports the same scam, only the one caught first will receive the reward.
The game studio believes the issue is only on PC, with the dubious claim that “cheats are not available on consoles.”
Enlisting the community to make money cheats has divided the gaming community – some see it as a positive, while others think it's a lame excuse to skimp on resources.
Reddit user killcycle1989 wrote, “At least they're acknowledging it; This is a step in the right direction.
“This should be a next-gen business strategy, right? After all, we'll be fixing the bugs ourselves,” said another Reddit user.
Did AI tokens steal the spotlight? Traders weigh in.
Game tokens have been in the tank for the past week.
As of October 20, according to CoinMarketCap data, Immutable (IMX) dropped 20% to $1.33; FLOKI (FLOKI) is down 13.2% to trade at $0.0001335; And ApeCoin (APE) fell by 34.7%, trading at $1.02.
Driven by increased interest in Goateus Maximum and AI shill Terminal of Truths, holders are wondering if the narrative continues.
“Many potential gaming token buyers will turn to AI,” said crypto analyst Mr. Poor Hart. AI steals the show.
“Gaming has been trying to catch on for 5 years. Either it's too late or people still haven't found a way to make tokens with games,” market analysis platform IncomeSharks commented on October 23rd to its 551,100X followers.
The bulls are still there. Analyst Altcoin Psycho said in an Oct. 23 X Post that he wouldn't be surprised if the game is “where the next major rotation is going to flow,” and gaming tokens and infrastructure tokens are “charting some really huge-looking charts.”
Michael van de Pop of MN Trading Capital added, “The game is accelerating.
Renowned game developer Matt Stefanina highlighted “how quickly sentiment can change in a Web3 game.”
“First you're cruel, then you're angry, now you're cruel to me again.”

Hot take: Catizen
Why am I swiping cats around the screen like I'm browsing the cat version of Tinder?
The viral Telegram click game was my first thought when I opened Katizen.
The game starts with cats all over the screen, and like most viral clicker games I've tried this year, I'm sitting there thinking, “Do I even have to do WTF with this?” I'm thinking.
You've probably at least heard of Katizen, one of the most successful clicker games of 2024.
But if you're like me and haven't tried it yet, taking care of your Tamagotchi or playing Nintendogs on your Nintendo DS is what it's all about.

Your job is to run a cat colony, check on them every day, feed them and create rare and high-ranking cats in the game. In rare cases, many fish tokens – Catizen's in-game currency – can be automatically earned per second.
You can use FISH to unlock upgrades and keep your cats alive by feeding them.
Is it fun? It depends. Did you enjoy those Tamagotchi, Nintendogs, taking care of pets type games? If you love losing those animal-loving games, this might be right up your alley.
On the plus side, it's not just mindless clicking as the felines add more depth to the game.
Honestly, after 20 minutes I was really bored with Katzen. If I'm going to play a clicker game, I want it to feel like I'm building an empire, not like a crazy cat lady running a cat breeding operation.
