Crypto Is No Longer A Gamble For Most Americans: Survey


Coinbase has released the findings of a survey regarding US cryptocurrency ownership, showing a noticeable shift in opinion among participants. The data suggests a shift from a purely speculative approach to a broader and more optimistic outlook.

The report highlights that most US cryptocurrency holders are dissatisfied with the current financial system.

Americans are embracing Crypto more than expected.

According to a recent report, nearly three-quarters of Americans and the majority of crypto holders in the country are dissatisfied with the current fees traditional banks charge for transactions.

“71% of Americans – and 9 out of 10 American crypto owners – want lower fees as part of a new, modernized financial system.”

However, most cryptocurrency owners believe that crypto can serve as an alternative to the high transaction fees and slow processing times offered by traditional banks.

This indicates a positive change in attitude towards crypto investment, considering it less of a speculative gamble and recognizing its potential for widespread adoption.

However, in November 2023, crypto analyst Jamie Coates highlighted that blockchain technology will see adoption regardless of the positives or negatives of the crypto market.

“Bear market/bull market adoption of blockchain technology continues unabated. Not being exposed to one of the biggest structural trends of the next decade could be costly.”

Global Forecast Builds for Crypto Adoption.

Americans aren't the only ones who believe in crypto and blockchain adoption. More and more countries in Europe are beginning to see the benefits it can bring to the financial system.

Meanwhile, on January 29, crypto exchange Binance held interviews with participants from four European countries: France, Italy, Spain and Sweden.

According to the results, most of them remain positive about the crypto industry.

“A recent Binance survey shows that 73% of Europeans are optimistic about the future of cryptocurrencies!”

However, the global number of cryptoholders is increasing rapidly, confirming analysts and survey findings and proof of a changing mindset.

On January 22, BeinCrypto reported that the number of global cryptoholders will increase by 34% in 2023. In addition, it reached 580 million in December from 432 million in January.
