Apple'S Vision Pro Vr Doesn'T Work - And Users Are Already Trying To Steal It.

The world of technology—and the mainstream—with Apple's Vision Pro. The most expensive tool is described as “spatial computing”, creating a completely new style of interaction with information and media.

It's not just a sex film. It can be said that any new technology is one of the things that are necessarily suggested.

Given Apple's established sensibility, it is unlikely that there will be an official adult entertainment channel approved for use with the Apple Vision Pro. But users were eager to see if 3D videos could be used with established platforms that share human interaction.

The answer, alas, was no. You can see a super realistic 3D rhinoceros or dinosaur hovering in front of you, but a human being? This is not going away.

More than a few Apple Vision Pro owners have been seduced by immersive, three-dimensional sex.

YouTuber Tim Chantarangsu tweeted: “I pre-ordered the Apple Vision Pro for consumers. It's about to be a sex movie. People like him couldn't care less about playing virtual piano, or having F1 tracks in their living room. They only want one thing, and Apple is expecting it from them.” .

Fact check: There is no space sex here.

As some early adopters donned their headsets, excitement quickly turned to consternation when it was discovered that the $3,500 Vision Pro was incompatible with existing and mostly standard VR porn.

As reported by 404 Media, users on forums such as Reddit's r/oculusnsfw and r/VisionPro subreddits expressed their frustration. Posts came in asking where all the 3D porn was.

The lack of support is partly a technical issue.

“Vision Pro doesn't play external VR videos out of the box,” explained DeoVR, a site specializing in VR media. [it] on the device.

“Using Safari, it is possible to download your own content from DeoVR to the headset, but it will only appear as a flat screen,” DeoVR continues. “There is no option for VR180 or any kind of immersive viewing.”

Apple's historic stance on adult content has developed another complication, shaped by Steve Jobs' policy of banning sexual activity on the company's platforms. Despite support for the WebXR standard in Safari, 3D content doesn't seem to work well, leading to flickering, non-full-screen or flat experiences for those who try to adjust the settings.

Although Apple Vision Pro users won't be able to see what they want to see in spatial, immersive, 3D glory, they can still play flat-screen videos on a giant, virtual screen. At least they can all get their own private sex theater.

There is a solution – sort of

Among the VR sex film faithful, there's a lot of interest in strapping on Apple's latest device from Sauric and his crew of nerds, who have been fighting to steal the old-school iPhone.

One approach involves enabling certain settings in Vision Pro's Safari browser, provided here for educational purposes.

By accessing “Settings” > “Applications” > “Safari” > “Advanced” > “Feature Flags”, users can access the WebXR Device API, Enhance API, WebXR Augmented Reality Module and WebXR Gamepads Module.

This solution, although not perfect, was partially successful, with sites like VRPorn.com providing a more immersive experience.

Some users stated that the hack was not effective while others confirmed that they got good results.

“This worked perfectly,” said McSlappin1407 on another Reddit thread. “Still a little tricky and won't let me use my hands to pinch when I dip, but a good solution.”

McSlappin1407 did not specify what he was trying to pin down. Decrypt could not be reached for further comment.
