BAYC co-founder Greg Solana has been named CEO of Yoga Labs

Greg Solano, one of the inventors behind Bored Up Yacht Club's (BAYC) peerless token (NFT) suite, has become the new CEO of Yuga Labs.

Solano, one of the company's founders, will replace Daniel Alegre, who took over as CEO last April.

“I am stepping back as CEO of Yoga Labs,” Solano said in a Feb. 21 X post, adding that he is “refreshed to play a part in our next chapter.”

Under his leadership, Yoga Labs will seek to build on BAYC's services by creating more innovation and refocusing on building more partnerships, Solano said.

He explained that the BAYC facility came from “everyone in the circle” and highlighted the successes that have expanded the BAYC brand – namely ApeFest and Made by Apes.

“We want to challenge the BAYC team to challenge the vision as much as possible from Yuga. More focus, more agility. So it can do the above, and create a space for magic and crazy trash that we get up to again and again.”

Solano stated that a new company “BAYC LLC” was formed as a subsidiary of Yuga and will be responsible for all matters related to BAYC.

He's also focused on picking up speed with another side, the company's upcoming Metaverse project.

“We have a lot of work to do. It really builds if you all come in and have lots of experience.
