With a crypto bull run on the horizon, you'd better have some solid reasons to back up your bold and overly optimistic crypto predictions, says Benjamin Cowen, founder of Into the Cryptoverse.

“I think people like to see people come up with reasons to predict instead of throwing rocket emojis and pure offense,” Cowen told Hall of Flames.

“Sometimes I'm wrong, sometimes I'm right,” he said.

Cowen, which only says it's based somewhere in the United States, started creating crypto content in 2019, marking its second bull run. While his 889,500 followers on X know he's bullish on Bitcoin, the father of four believes a little skepticism never hurts:

“I've previously described myself as a BTC bull with 2 panda bears sitting on my shoulders to control FOMO.”

Cowen, a well-known crypto YouTuber, had an unusual path into the crypto industry.

Benjamin Cowen might be an astronaut.

Once upon a time, the founder of Into the Cryptoverse had a career heading into space.

While studying aerospace engineering, he did an internship with NASA, but decided it wasn't for him and switched to a math and physics degree instead.

He first heard about crypto before 2013, maybe back in 2011 when he took a cryptography course at uni, although not sure.

Unfortunately for Cowen, when he started showing his passion for Bitcoin, $13 Bitcoin was too expensive for the hardworking student at the time.

In the year In 2013, I actually started following him closely, but I was a poor graduate student and didn't have much money.

After completing his PhD on “Simulations of Radiation Damage to Ceramics”, he was employed at a national laboratory.

It was a “perfect job,” Cowen said. Or at least it was until “things started to take off” on his YouTube channel in late 2019.

How did Benjamin Cowen build his following on X?

Interestingly, when Cowen started curating YouTube content in 2019, his focus was on altcoins. But those videos “have no views,” he said.

Once he started talking more about Bitcoin and Ethereum, “the channel started to grow.”

Thanks to his crypto content on YouTube, Cowen has built over 100,000 subscribers in just 10 months on the platform.

It “happened quickly,” he said, adding that it took six months to gather the first 500 subscribers, with the remaining 95,000 subscribers joining over the next four months.

What content does Benjamin Cowen create?

Cowen is a straight shooter with his crypto content, even during a bull run, let's face it, every crypto degen and normie is chasing the next 10x coin.

“I aim to provide unsentimental and objective market views,” Cowen said.

He also likes to warn new crypto users about falling into the trap of trying to get a high crypto product like those caught in the last cycle with the failure of various crypto lenders.

Cowen freely admits when his predictions are wrong and chooses to follow other influencers and admits when they go wrong.

“I'd rather follow people who are willing to admit they're wrong and where they're wrong about something and why, than someone who feels like they have something to prove,” he said.

Predictions for Benjamin Cowen?

While we couldn't squeeze a price prediction from Cowen, he pointed to his belief that Bitcoin dominance — the ratio of Bitcoin's market cap to the total crypto market — “will drop by 2025, as dominance usually falls after half a year.”

His main reason, which echoes what many people in crypto think, is the expectation that the US Federal Reserve will move towards an expansionary monetary policy.

“I expect the Fed to move from QT to QE next year. The transition from QT to QE last cycle marked a high for BTC dominance,” he said.
