With Bitcoin ($BTC) struggling to hold ground above $70,000, the blue-chip crypto is trading at a relative discount.
Although it may not seem like it, things are steadily moving towards global adoption.
In that light, some news and chart signals suggest that XRP, Solana, and Dogecoin are the best plays to stock up on ahead of the next bull market.
XRP (XRP): Ripple's New Plan to Disrupt Swift $5 Stands on Radar
87 billion dollars coverage XRP ($XRP) It is the market leader in fast, cost-effective cross-border transactions.
Ripple has developed XRP Ledger (XRPL) to offer banks and financial institutions a modern alternative to Swift with slower settlement times and higher payouts.
Recently, Ripple outlined a new plan to centralize XRPL's institutional-level payments and token infrastructure, with XRP as the core of the system.
Reports from the United Nations Capital Development Fund and the White House have cited XRP, highlighting its potential to transform payments.
U.S. regulators recently approved XRP exchange-traded funds (ETFs), opening the door for institutional and retail investors to gain exposure through complementary investment products.
More favorable developments could push XRP to $5 by the end of Q2.
Solana (SOL): Is Ethereum's Leading Rival Heading For Rest?
Solana ($SOL) is the largest smart contract platform outside of Ethereum. The network currently hosts $6.5 billion in total value locked (TVL), with SOL's market capitalization exceeding $48 billion.
At around $85, SOL moves well below the 30-day moving average. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) is sitting near 28, indicating that oversold conditions may cause investors to re-accumulate this week.
If SOL breaks sharply from the resistance levels near $200 and $275, it could surpass its previous ATH of $293.31 before the second quarter.
Beyond the technicalities, Solana is becoming the network of choice for real-world asset cryptocurrencies. Asset managers such as BlackRock and Franklin Templeton have begun offering tokenization tools on Solana.
Dogecoin (DOGE): Is the $1 target still realistic?
Launched in 2013, Dogecoin ($DOGE) is the first and largest meme coin with a capitalization of $16 billion.
Its explosive rally during the 2021 bull market, fueled by high-profile supporters including Elon Musk, Snoop Dogg and Gene Simmons, helped dogecoin cement its place in mainstream culture.
Despite Dogecoin's origins, its size and liquidity reduce the high volatility seen in smaller Mem coins. Accordingly, DOGE frequently functions like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and XRP rather than a meme coin.
“Dogecoin to $1” continues to rally Dogecoin. If market conditions improve, DOGE could see meaningful upside, possibly 5x from its current $0.10 level and reach $0.50 by mid-year.
Real-world usage continues to expand. Tesla accepts DOGE for select goods, while payment platforms such as PayPal and Revolut now support Dogecoin transactions.
Bitcoin Hyper: A Meme-Inspired Bitcoin Layer-2 With Big Plans
Off the beaten path, a new altcoin could surpass XRP and Solana this year. Bitcoin Hyper ($HYPER) will launch the legendary Bitcoin network to increase transaction processing, reduce fees and introduce advanced smart contracts.
The protocol uses the Solana virtual machine, decentralization, and a canonical bridge to seamlessly transfer bitcoins across multiple blockchains.
In the ecosystem, the HYPER token is used for transaction fees, management voting and share sharing.
The ongoing pre-launch token sale has raised $31.4 million. Some analysts and crypto influencers suggest that HYPER could make 10x to 100x returns after launch.
A recent Coinsult audit reported no critical vulnerabilities in the project's smart contracts.
