Binance website URL is now accessible in India. URLs of 9 overseas crypto exchanges including Binance, OKX, Kucoin have been blocked by the government. India January 12, 2024 These platforms received a notice from the Ministry of Finance in December 2023 for non-compliance with India's anti-money laundering laws. Kucoin was the first overseas crypto exchange to register with the FIU and its URL was banned in March after paying a fine of ₹34.5 lakh.
Binance filed for FIU registration in April and was fined ₹18.82 crore after OKX decided to stop its services in India.
Although the Binance URL is now accessible, the app still needs to reappear on the Play Store and App Store.
