Bitcoin miner CleanSpark expands with first-ever site acquisition in Wyoming.
CleanSpark has found its first Bitcoin mining site in Wyoming, according to a press release on Thursday.
The company has contracted for 75 MW of power, with 30 MW expected to come online by the end of 2024 for the first site.
A second site will bring the next 45MW to CleanSpark's Wyoming hashrate.
CleanSpark announced that it has secured 75 megawatts of power contracts and added to its growing capacity with the acquisition of a new 30 megawatt bitcoin mining site in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
This is the company's first site on the site. When it launches, it will increase the hashrate to more than 2 exahashes per second for the Nasdaq-listed BTC miner, CleanSpark said. press release.
Meanwhile, the company has eyed a second location in the area, closing a deal to see the real estate release an additional 45MW for its Wyoming operations. This second site coming online adds 3 EH/s to the CleanSpark hashrate.
Operations in the first place are expected before the year
According to CleanSpark, the Cheyenne-based facility is a fully immersion-cooled facility — the second such facility in the company's growing portfolio. The miner expects operations to resume before the end of the year.

CleanSpark will deploy the new S21 immersion XPs on the new site, which will affect the latest Bitcoin mining machines. XPs are currently the most powerful and efficient of BTC mining machines.
CleanSpark recently acquired the GRIID infrastructure
With the addition of Wyoming, CleanSpark now has a presence in three states. The mining portfolio includes data centers in Georgia, Mississippi and Wyoming, as well as shared locations in Tennessee and New York.
The company also announced the acquisition of Tennessee-based miner GRIID Infrastructure.
Once the $155 million all-stock deal is completed, CleanSpark will increase capacity to 100 megawatts by 2024. It will reach 200 megawatts by the end of next year and 400 MW by the end of 2026 for the Tennessee utility.
CleanSpark is one of the US-based Bitcoin mining companies who recently met with former US President Donald Trump in a meeting that saw the 2024 presidential candidate say that the US should be at the forefront of mining BTC.
Trump spoke at the Bitcoin 2024 conference in Nashville, Tennessee in late July.
