More hashrate came from new energy stations. CleanSpark's purchase discounts and fleet upgrades also helped the miner hit the top ranks.

Critical to the company's efforts are new data centers in Tennessee and Wyoming that came online this past week.

“Our teams have been working hard throughout the past year. We have reached our ambitious goals since the beginning of 2024 and expanded our capacity by 300% by the end of the year and through 2025,” said Zach Bradford, CEO and President of CleanSpark in a statement.

CleanSpark recently closed a $650 million convertible bond offering and plans to use the capital to finance its growth to 50 EH/s. With the funding in place, the company expects to hit this new milestone by H1, 2025.
