Blackrock for the next level of crypto expansion

BlackRock is now gearing up for its next crypto push by posting new digital asset roles in New York, London and Singapore as it expands its team to include tokenization, stablecoins and crypto market structure.
Robert Michnick, who heads BlackRock's digital assets strategy, recently hinted at a recruiting drive, saying the firm is hiring for several leadership roles in its digital assets group in New York, London and Asia.
The openings range from associate roles to senior management, covering product strategy, research, funding services and compliance, according to job listings and role descriptions posted on BlackRock's career pages.
High Paying Crypto Roles Anchor Expansion Plan
One of the most senior posts, a managing director role in New York, will set a salary range of $270,000 to $350,000 and lead hiring for a major cross-company digital asset related to crypto-assets, stolkcoins and tokenization.
In Singapore, BlackRock is hiring a managing director to run its digital assets strategy across Asia Pacific, which includes building multi-year business plans, shaping regulatory affairs and mapping across banks, brokerages, crypto exchanges and fintech platforms.
BlackRock's listings represent a global build-out around digital asset tokenization and control in roles such as fund services and financial crime compliance for EMEA markets with legal coverage.
From tokenization of EFAs, BlackRock strengthens its bets.
The firm is asking new hires to show up in person, replicating a hybrid model that requires at least four days a week in the office and one day away from home.
BlackRock's post-hire push has helped land crypto into traditional portfolios through its Bitcoin ETF, and has also dabbled in on-chain financing with an institutional liquid fund pegged to Ethereum.
BlackRock has placed iShares Bitcoin Trust among its top investment themes for 2025, alongside short-term Treasuries and a basket of megacap US tech, a sign that the firm sees crypto exposure as a core portfolio builder for some clients.
Tokenization is part of an arc, and BlackRock's BUIDL fund has appeared in market pipelines, including being accepted as collateral on crypto exchange Binance, a major milestone for tokenized treasuries in institutional-style workflows.
BlackRock reads like a plan to professionally deliver the full stack, product architecture, market structure, risk and compliance, and regional performance as crypto positions itself for its next phase in topic-specific rallies.
