BODEN memecoins spiked briefly after Hunter Biden’s conviction.
Biden-themed Solana memecoins briefly fell after US President Joe Biden's son Hunter Biden was found guilty of three counts of federal gun charges.
Jeo Boden (BODEN) — an intentional misspelling of the president — surged 26% to a 24-hour high of nearly $0.20 in the five hours after a Delaware federal court judge found the boy guilty on June 11, CoinGecko data shows.
At the same time, the HUNTBODEN token is up 116% to a daily high of $0.0022 – a fraction of a percent – while First Lady-appearance Jill Boden (Jilboden) is down 9%, Koingeco said.
The procession did not last. BODEN and HUNTBODEN are down 6% and 54% respectively in the last 24 hours and JILLBODEN is down 14.7%.
The HUNTBODEN token has a market capitalization of just under $583,000, compared to BODEN's over $124.6 million, GecoTerminal reported.
Hunter Biden, a recovering crack cocaine addict, died in 2010. The third charge is for possessing the gun for 11 days.
He now faces a maximum of 25 years in prison.

Meanwhile, Doland Trump (TREMP) — the Solana memecoin, a deliberately misspelled name for President Biden's political rival Donald Trump — fell more than 12 percent to $0.93 on the day.
Their price cuts are accompanied by broader market declines. Top meme tokens Dogecoin (DOGE), Shiba Inu (SHIB) and Dogwifhat (WIF) saw drops of 5% or more in the last day, with Pepe (PEPE) the only major memecoin to see modest gains of more than 5.5%.
Bitcoin (BTC) and Ether (ETH) also saw drops of 3% and 4.5% respectively in the last day – the top cryptocurrency is trading at $67,395 while ETH is sitting at $3,503, according to Cointelegraph Markets Pro.
