Popular South Korean game publisher Com2uS Group has officially entered the OCC crypto game ecosystem by launching its own layer-2 chain XPLA Versus with popular titles in major franchises.
XPLA Verse is now home to Summoners War: Chronicles, an action role-playing game spun from the popular game Summoners War: Sky Arena with over 220 million downloads. It also now hosts The Walking Dead: All-Stars, based on the zombie comic book series.
Com2uS, known for its mobile gaming presence in South Korea, has been accelerating its Web3 strategy and participated in the Oasis ecosystem as an early adopter last year. In February, the company announced plans to bring its existing XPLA crypto game ecosystem to Oasys, starting with these two major games.
“Com2uS and XPLA aim to leverage Osius' knowledge of the Japanese regulatory framework to strengthen its market presence and reach more East Asian users,” reads an official announcement.
Oasys has licensed several major video game publishers and developers, including Ubisoft, which is building its first blockchain game.
