Crypto.com has achieved a significant milestone by becoming one of the first cryptocurrency platforms to achieve Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) v4.0 certification, according to an announcement on October 3, 2024.

The upgrade to PCI DSS v4.0, which integrates new technologies and improved authentication methods, captures the core 12 security standards, reflecting the growing needs of the payments industry. It introduces greater flexibility and adaptability to address security threats.
Although the industry's v4.0 certification deadline is March 2025, Crypto.com's early compliance demonstrates its proactive approach to security.
