AMINA Bank, the FINMA-regulated digital resources bank, has launched a zero-fee banking package designed specifically for Web3 startups and scale-ups, the bank announced on Thursday.
This initiative aims to provide businesses with easy access to financial services. Without financial barriers, Web3 startups and standards can focus on innovation and growth.
“Web3 startups and scale-ups often struggle to find banking partners that fully understand the complexities of digital assets and offer products tailored to their needs,” said Miles Harrison, chief product officer at Amina Bank.
The package offers a range of financial services, including current accounts in CHF and EUR. The bank plans to include USD and HKD in the package in the future.
Startups can easily make and receive payments in various global currencies, the bank said. The package covers ad and fixed term deposit accounts, crypto custody, staking and spot trading services, all with no onboarding fees, minimum cash requirements and monthly fees.
According to Harrison, the new package provides startups with the tools and services necessary to expand their operations and scale. The goal is to encourage growth and encourage innovation.
“With the launch of Amina Bank's startup package, we are not just offering a bank account. We are opening the gateway to an integrated financial ecosystem that supports both traditional and digital assets,” said Harrison.
“This initiative underscores our commitment to empowering the next generation of creators in the Web3 space and the broader startup ecosystem,” he said.
AMINA Bank is recognized as a pioneer in integrating cryptocurrency services with traditional banking. It has earned a reputation for its innovative approach and compliance with regulatory requirements, including obtaining a crypto license from the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission.
Discussing the launch of the package, Sue Carpenter, CEO of CryptoUK, believes it is a positive step in providing the financial services needed for Web3 businesses to grow and succeed.
“The key to ensuring growth, success and global competitiveness lies in addressing the gaps in the Web3 sector, and we encourage institutions like AMINA Bank to be at the forefront of creating opportunities for our industry's growth,” said Carpenter.
The Amina Bank package is designed for early stage Web3 startups and standards. To qualify for the package, companies must have been operating for less than five years or received less than CHF 10 million in funding.
