Crypto influencers and famous X accounts are risky to use.
Several industry influencers and celebrities had their X accounts hacked over the weekend, from Luna2 and ORDI to celebrity-inspired memecoins.
Among the latest victims is Gigantic-Cassocked-Rebirth – known as GCR – an anonymous cryptocurrency investor known for profiting from contrarian trades – who confirmed that their X account had been hacked.
GCR's X account posted about ORDI and Luna2.0 on May 26, sending both tokens up 6% and 274% for the time being.
Many have commented that the hacker could have used the account for Microcap coins but instead chose to post the two tokens – resulting in some profit.
“The GCR hacker hit the wallet hard,” said crypto analyst Miles Deutscher.
“Bro could have picked any reliable microcap for 10-20x wicking, but chose ORDI and LUNA2 with a 10% wick shift.”
ORDI (ORDI) has already amassed a market cap of $856 million and is therefore smaller than most small cap coins.
However, the GRCR hack may be just one small part of a broader attack on celebrity X accounts, the community warns.
Bitcoin developer and Ordinals analyst Udi Wertheimer told us that GCR is already hacking large Twitter accounts today.
With so many famous celebrities putting in meme coins every minute – long weekends when stage engineers aren't around – I recommend being very careful.
Rich the Kid posts memecoin RICH
The American rapper “Rich the Kid” (Dmitri Leslie Roger) of the X account has released a link for his 2.3 million followers to buy the new token “RICH” – launched on the Solana memecoin creator tool pump.fun.
In the first two hours, it collected a market value of 90,000 dollars, DX screen data shows.
No statement was made to confirm that Rich The Kid's X account was hacked, but the post has since been deleted.
Deepfake or Caitlyn Jenner?
At the same time, a new memecoin “JENNER”, introduced the X account of the American media personality Caitlin Jenner – which has already accumulated a market value of $ 4.7 million since four hours ago, according to DEX Screener.
Many industry experts also believe the posts are the result of hackers. This, however, is even more convincing when it breaks down on two social media platforms and even includes several videos of Jenner claiming the crypto token and the posts are genuine.

“Yes, this crypto on my account is real,” said Jenner's video, with 3.3 million X followers.
“If you want to come in here, come in quick, okay, come in now.”

A JENNER token has also been launched on pump.fun. Interestingly, the crypto wallet posted by Jenner is the actual wallet posted by popular content creator Kazumi, who was hacked to promote “ZUMI” on May 20.
