Disney has partnered with Dapper Labs to launch an NFT platform.

Disney has partnered with Dapper Labs to bring digital collections of Disney Pixar icons and Star Wars characters to users across the chain. The companies launched the Disney Pinnacle NFT platform, which offers fans digital pins that can be collected and sold.

Disney and Dapper Labs are collaborating on a massive NFT project as they look to bring 100 years of popular Disney cartoons and characters to the chain.

The two companies announced the launch of Disney Pinnacle, an NFT platform that brings “the magic of pin collecting into the digital age.”

As well as a century's worth of Disney characters, the platform gives users access to Pixar icons and heroes and villains from the Star Wars galaxy.

According to Dapper Labs' announcement, these characters and icons will be available as digital pins that can be collected and sold separately.

“Disney Pinnacle is a completely new product designed from the ground up to incorporate everything we've learned over the past few years,” Dapper Labs founder and CEO Roham Garegozlu said in a statement.

Disney fans can collect, trade and share their certified digital collections across networks.

Garegozlow added: “Fans anywhere can collect dynamic pins on their phones and trade with each other quickly and securely.”

Built on the Flow blockchain, Disney Pinnacle is expected to go live later this year. The platform is available on the Apple App Store for iOS.

Dapper Labs' collaborations with Disney add to an impressive list including the NBA, UFC, NFL and Doodles 2.
