Dogwhiphat goes ahead with the Vegas Globe team’s ‘90% confidence’ plan
Organizers behind a crowdfunding campaign that raised nearly $700,000 in March to put Solana's memecoin Dogwifhat (WIF) on the Las Vegas Globe are confident the advertising deal will go ahead despite the long wait.
Mihir, one of the five organizers listed on the official “Sphere wif hat” website, told Cointelegraph that the campaign was “90% confident” in the week-long campaign at the Las Vegas Sphere.
Mihir said Sphere representatives coined new “crypto-specific” terms after hearing about the campaign, adding that there were internal meetings to develop their crypto-related policies in response to the initiative.
“we are [still] They are working with them to meet their requirements and demands,” he added.
He declined to comment further on the details of discussions with Sphere, fearing it could influence ongoing talks or encourage unnecessary speculation on WIF's value.
Mihir added that there was still a slight chance that the deal could go through because the WIF community or partner companies could not agree on the requirements, but so far this has not happened.
A spokeswoman for Sphere declined to comment.
Dogwhiphat fans have been waiting since March.
Some contributors to the crowdfunding initiative have taken to X in recent weeks to complain about the lack of communication from organizers about the process and how their donated funds will be handled if the talks fail.
Referring to a public message posted on June 18 in the official Dogwiffat Telegram group, Mihir said that if negotiations fail for any reason, all funds will be paid to all donors.
“Sphere is still being developed. These things take time and we are spending our time working on memes,” he wrote.
“If it is cancelled, we will notify you immediately and all funds will be refunded.”
Mihir also said the team “wanted to quell rumours” not to use the official image of Wiff's mascot – a dog named Achi – for copyright reasons.
“The image may or may not be copyrighted, but we are working with the dog owners on other initiatives, and they are happy about the memo,” Mihir said.
On March 18, anonymous crypto trader Gigantic Rebirth, also known as GCR, took the first image of a one-to-one NFT for $4.3 million.
Mihir revealed that he and other members of the “Sphere wif ha” team had met the owners of Achi, adding that the owners had given them the original pink beanie hat from the picture.

Organizers of the crowdfunding campaign include prominent crypto trader Ansem and four other anonymous WIF community members, whose X handles are publicly available on the official campaign website.
YF currently stands as the 54th largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, despite having fallen more than 62% from its March 31 high of $4.83.
At the time of publication, WIF was changing hands at $1.85 and had a market capitalization of $1.85 billion.
