‘There is no such thing as spam' – OKX exec on Bitcoin Ordinals

With some opposing Bitcoin Ordinals and calling the protocol spam, crypto exchange OKX is taking a different stance. The exchange has doubled down on Bitcoin NFTs, announcing that it will support Atomic and Ruin on its marketplace. It also supports Doginals, which is standard on Dogecoin.

In a statement to Cointelegraph, Lau explained that in permissionless networks like Bitcoin, all transactions are valid as long as they pay fees and comply with consensus rules. The executive argued that “there is no such thing as spam” in an open network like BTC.

Bitwise Bitcoin ETF attracts donations of wallet articles and rare sats

Asset manager Bitwise released their Bitcoin (BTC) ETF wallet address on January 24 to allow the public to verify their ETF holdings and flows on the blockchain.

Within hours of its public availability, the wallet has received tons of tips and donations from the crypto community. This included over 16,000 articles worth about $6,000. The posts included two RSIC airdrops, one bitcoin punk, one bitcoin funeral and more.

Cristiano Ronaldo strikes with NFT owners as court challenges arise

At a training event sponsored by Binance, soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo made some promises to NFTs holders. The athlete played football with several NFT owners, giving them tips on how to improve their game.

Ronaldo has signed a multi-year partnership with Binance NFTs through 2022, promising to provide fan engagement opportunities for NFT holders. At the time, Ronaldo said that bringing accessibility and experiences to his fans is what he wants to be a part of.

The 90s FPS game Doom is powered by Dogecoin through Ordinals

Using the Ordinals protocol on Dogecoin, a developer wrote a free version of the 1990s first-person shooter video game Doom on the Dogecoin network. With this, anyone can play blockchain-hosted video games on mobile devices and computers.

Dom was released in 1993 and became very popular. According to anonymous developer Mini Doge, they wrote the game in Dogecoin to celebrate Doom's 30th anniversary.
