Delhoyo added: “We wanted to get the best of the talent in the industry—the gaming team—and combine that with the best communities in gaming.

Dr. Contempt and a team of actors and creators—including Dr. Lupo, Zed Laner, Eames, and Kryptostache—played Deaddrop in front of a large, standing-room-only audience. From the crowd, he played Dr. Discrep's signature look, complete with matching mustache, shiny sunglasses, and red battle suit.

In the new Deaddrop game loop, players must drive from the “Hideout” garage to their matches, where they must eliminate other players, swipe loot, and successfully walk to the exit point.

“It's not just your regular racing game,” Delhoyo told the crowd. “When people look at this, they say, ‘What is this? I thought you were making a first person shooter. What is this car shenanigan?'

“We don't want to just do shooting stuff all the time,” Delhoyo added.

In an interview with DecryptBowling explained that cars were added to Deaddrop because the game's early community (primarily NFT founders) saw the garage in the first game's screenshots — and immediately wondered what cars could be added to. And with removable faucets.

Early access to the game can be purchased for $10, and vehicle packs cost $30 (not including NFTs).

Bowling said Deaddrop offers a lot of user-generated content (UGC) opportunities for avid gamers who want to see their own game modes come to life, like a “capture the flag” mode — but with cars.

“We are 100% committed to enabling our creators to monetize their creations in any way possible,” Bowling said. DecryptWhen players are asked if they can sell their Deaddrop UGC as NFTs in the future.

“Our approach—especially crypto and NFT like it's always been, there are people who love it and there are people who want nothing to do with it, and we're a community for both,” Bowling said.

“We are not forcing anything on anyone. It's great if you want to monetize with in-game stuff that has nothing to do with crypto,” he continued. “If other people want to find ways to generate revenue, we're going to explore that and try to support freedom of choice, and that's really our goal.”

Now, the vehicles in Deaddrop are designed by their team and not from any real world car brand. But can Lambos and McLarenFor example, will it appear in the future in Deaddrop?

While Bowling predicts that most Deaddrop UGC will be original IP from creators, luxury car brands can get in on the game if they want to.

“Once UGC comes out, anyone can be an inventor,” Bowling said. “They are free to do so.”
