El Salvador’s Bitcoin dream continues with Naib Bukele’s victory
Bitcoiner Nayib Bukele has claimed victory in El Salvador's presidential election, according to exit poll data. However, the official count has yet to be announced, but the news seems good to continue the adoption of Bitcoin in the country.

Bukele said in a post on Central America Sunday night X. [translated]:
“According to our numbers, we won the presidential election with more than 85% of the votes and at least 58 out of 60 representatives in the assembly. A record in the history of world democracy.
According to Gallup poll data, the Bukele Nuevas idea party has 87% of the vote.
Bukele, dubbed “the world's best dictator” by Western media, remains popular in El Salvador.
Salvadorans thronged the capital's central square on Sunday evening to celebrate their expected re-election.
Bukele silenced his critics at a news conference shortly after his vote:
“We are not replacing democracy because El Salvador did not have a democracy.” This is the first time in history that El Salvador has a democracy. And I didn't say it was the people.
Now he looks poised to become the first Salvadoran president in nearly a century to win re-election.

The crypto community widely celebrated the victory. Teser CTO Paolo Arduino said:

In addition to driving Bitcoin, Bukele has led to a nationwide crackdown on violence and crime in the country.
Naib Bukele has made Bitcoin legal tender in the country by September 2021, making several incentives to support digital assets such as volcanic bonds.
According to Nayib Tracker, El Salvador's Bitcoin Treasury is currently at 2,825 BTC. This is currently estimated at approximately $120 million.
After months of being in the red during the bear market, Buckel's Bitcoin stock is back in the black at current prices, but rightly so. The dollar price average price paid per coin was $42,443, 0.3% higher than the current spot price.
