Elon Musk has held a conference call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to discuss the development of artificial intelligence technologies in Israel, Netanyahu said in a report on X.
Netanyahu's call was made from Florida and included Transport Minister Miri Regev and National AI Headquarters head Erez Askal. During the conversation, Musk accepted an invitation to attend Israel's Smart Transportation Conference in March.
The discussion included continued cooperation with Tesla and efforts to advance laws related to autonomous cars in Israel. Netanyahu has stepped up Israel's interest in the field of artificial intelligence, signaling the country's desire to become a global leader, paralleling its past success in cybersecurity and other advanced technologies.
