Everyone In The Cast Is Satoshi

The IMDB page for HBO's upcoming documentary Money Electric: The Bitcoin Mystery — which claims to reveal the true identity of Bitcoin's mysterious creator — has given the secret away early: Everyone is actually Satoshi Nakamoto.

An IMDB user first changed the documentary's information page and named the person in the cast as Nakamoto, opening the door for other users to pile on the fact that everyone is the creator of Bitcoin (BTC).

Nakamoto's identity may refer to the “We're all Satoshi” meme, which gained more attention before it was supposedly mocked for the documentary.

According to the documentary's revelations, Polymarket has identified American computer scientist Nick Szabo and cryptographer Len Sasaman as the leading contenders for the so-called Nakamoto.

The “other/many” bets have taken it as the preferred leader for Satoshi to emerge, with Blockstream CEO Adam Back as the next highest odds at 10.7%.

Sassaman is down to 3.7%, and Szabo is at 2.1%.

Leaked clips of the documentary appear to pin former Bitcoin developer Peter Todd as Satoshi Nakamoto, which he denies and questions documentary producer Cullen Hoback.

Todd is not listed as an option on Polymarket and the leaked clips appear to have prompted plugins to support an unnamed person on the site.

Only snippets of the upcoming documentary are being released, and Hoback may land on someone else who he thinks is Nakamoto.

Hoback is best known for identifying the man behind the QAnon conspiracy theory in his previous series for HBO.

The HBO documentary is set to premiere on October 9 at 2:00 AM UTC.
