Popular Telegram crypto game Tomarket has started the process of issuing Toma Token on the Open Network (TON). As the token is about to start trading soon, it is time for players to reap what they have sown.

Tomarket paid the airdrop for at least three events. One already took place on October 31st, but users were unable to withdraw or trade their tokens – similar to showing token allocations prior to the airdrop. This is set to happen before December 20th and at least once again after the fact.

A total of 80% of the token allocation will be gifted to players during the weather. Of this, 30% was revealed on October 31st, another 30% is set to be revealed before the listing, and 17% will be released at an unspecified time – the final 3% for “Early Adopter Rewards”.

Those who receive tokens can transfer and trade their tokens after they are listed on December 20.

However, not all 50 million players will get a share of the gift. Here's a primer on who is set to receive Toma Tokens on Tomarket, how to claim the tokens, and what to expect in the future.

Who is eligible for an airdrop?

Tomarket has set up various tasks that the players have to complete before they can get their share of the TMA Airdrop. Here are the tasks completed before the original October 30 shutdown:

Add Timatin's emoticon to your Telegram display name Reach Bronze (L4) level in Tomarket Connect Ton Bag Buy the Premium Medal (optional) Join Tomarket's Community Channel

As of this writing, it looks like another step will be added to the list, but that's all Tomarket has revealed so far. Note that the Airdrop Boost Premium Medal, which costs around $5 a ton or Telegram Stars, is an optional action and is not required to claim a token.

Tomarket says that it will give 80% of the total token allocation during the climate, and 60% of the token list will already be sent to players. It is not clear when the remaining 20% will be sent.

Similarly, it is not confirmed how many tokens have been created. Decrypt also asked about this detail and we'll update the story if we hear back.

What should I do to ask?

Based on what's been shared so far, it looks like eligible players will be able to claim tokens in the Tomarket mini app on Telegram and then decide whether or not to withdraw them to a wallet. It should be very straightforward.

While the premium medal is an option to participate in the weather, messaging around the feature suggests that only medal purchasers will have access to the full TMA classification at launch.

Medal holders were promised “100% tokens at listing”, meaning non-buyers could only own a fraction of the tokens unlocked from the start, with the rest set aside to wear down over time.

Hamster Kombat, for example, let players claim and withdraw 88.75% of their stake, with the remaining tokens awarded for 10 months—until July 2025, supposedly. The game, which has attracted a total of 300 million players, hasn't sold an item that allows buyers to claim a full share of tokens since its inception.

What happens after an air drop?

Tomarket has teased plans for some sort of upgrade following the airdrop, though exactly what's planned isn't yet clear.

What we do know is that Tomarket is planning to launch a Farm Pool feature and like other Telegram games like Notcoin and XEmpire, Tomarket will be part of its future offering exposure to upcoming games and projects, giving players unique benefits.

The farming pool allows TMA token holders to “enter exclusive projects, increase your income, earn a share of tokens from your referrals and enjoy hassle-free income opportunities.” Players who refer new users will earn a 10% share of any tokens their referrals generate, it added.

Tomarket also teased that the Premium Medal will provide some sort of incentive for an upcoming feature, though it's currently unclear if that's related to a farm pool or another new feature or service on the horizon.

Editor's note: This story was originally published on October 31, 2024 and was last updated with new details on December 6.
