Extradition of Do Quo approved by the Montenegrin court
Do Kun, co-founder of Terraform Labs, continues to run a newspaper, with a Montenegrin court approving his extradition to South Korea or the United States.
According to an official statement posted on the court's website on November 24, the High Court of Podgorica has determined the legal requirements for Kwon's extradition.
As the court has approved Kwon's extradition to both the US and South Korea, the final decision on extradition will be made by the Minister of Justice of Montenegro, the announcement said.
Earlier, a court in Montenegro sentenced Kuo to four months in prison after he was found guilty of using a forged passport to flee to Dubai on a private plane. In June 2023, Kwon was accused of trying to leave the country using a fake Costa Rican passport.
If the Minister of Justice gives the final permission to extradite the accused, the extradition will take place after the previously declared criminal penalty in the case of forged documents has been served, the court statement said.

Kwon was arrested in March 2023 in Montenegro for his role in the $40 billion destruction of Terra Ecosystem in May 2022. Both the United States and South Korea are seeking Kwon's extradition, with some prosecutors suggesting the Terraform Labs co-founder may be questioned. Many sentences in both countries.
In the US, Kwon faces civil charges related to fraud from the Securities and Exchange Commission along with multiple criminal charges brought by the Justice Department over the failure of TerraUSD and LUNA. If extradited to South Korea, Kwon could face up to 40 years in prison in the country and is said to have committed most of the crimes.
Last week, the Supreme Court of Montenegro rejected Kuo's appeal, reportedly forcing him to remain in prison. According to online reports, Kwon is currently being held in the Spuz prison near the Montenegrin capital Podgorica and is only allowed outside for about an hour each day. European officials said the prison was cramped and poorly ventilated.
