Focus on AI and clearer crypto rules
The World Economic Forum (WEF) will open its 54th annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland on January 15. The five-day meeting will be attended by more than 100 governments, major international organizations, and 1,000 partner companies around the world. As well as civil society leaders, social entrepreneurs and the media.
The theme of the 2024 WEF conference will be “Rebuilding Trust” amid geopolitical tensions, economic policies and rapid technological advances. The event will focus on six critical themes: economic recovery, energy transition, globalization, productive artificial intelligence (AI), strengthening institutions and women's health.

In the year By 2024, the focus has shifted to the role of AI and virtualization of real-world assets. Some of the more popular sessions around these topics include “The Tokenization Economy,” a public conference on tokenization scheduled for January 17.
The discussion will focus on the central features of tokenization, how it can be used and where the technology is headed. Jeremy Allaire, CEO of the USD Coin (USDC) Issuing Circle, and Daniel Dixon, CEO of the Stellar Development Foundation, will join the meeting.
Another discussion scheduled for January 18, titled “Clear-” will focus on the role of regulators in promoting innovation while protecting the future of digital assets and crypto customers.
