Sui Basecamp, the first international conference of the Sui ecosystem, opened its doors today in Paris, bringing together developers and entrepreneurs from around the world to celebrate Paris Blockchain Week.
A two-day event in two locations, Sui Basecamp will feature speakers on Web2 and Web3, targeting industry verticals from payments to gaming to e-commerce to major league sports. Celebrating and exploring the latest happenings in Web3, invited panels on cryptography presentations from some of the world's leading technology experts, fireside discussions on increasing market flow and real-world technology use cases.
Key announcements from the conference:
Introducing SuiPlay0x1 – a lightweight handheld gaming device designed in collaboration with Playtron. SuiPlay0x1 runs Playtron's device-agnostic game operating system, building compatibility with a variety of hardware configurations, game storefronts, and direct download game partners. SuiPlay is the first handheld gaming device with native web3 capabilities, and will be available in stores worldwide by 2025. First Digital Labs will launch FDUSD, the fastest growing stablecoin in crypto, on Sui, becoming the ecosystem's first native stablecoin. Initially deployed on Ethereum and BNB, with plans to expand to other blockchains, Sui has become the first blockchain that FDUSD has expanded to since its inception. FDUSD launched in August 2023 and has raised over $3.5 billion in market capitalization. Last week, FDUSD saw the fifth highest volume of trades in the entire industry, including more than $8 billion in volume in a single day. Enoki – Mysten Labs, an early contributor to Sui, announced the launch of the Enoki platform, an introduction to next-gen customer experiences. In the Inoki Portal, enterprises can access, use and embed public ledger solutions in their applications, products and services, thanks to SDKs supported by Sui's native feature, zkLogin. Partners that will integrate Enoki at launch include: Bluefin, Everlasting DX for fast settlement and a seamless trading experience. Drift, a decentralized ride-hailing platform powered by blockchain, aims to empower both, drivers and passengers. Quantum Temple, a digital platform for an immersive cultural journey.
