Get CryptoCard promises 'seamless' Crypto-to-Fiat payments for EEA users.

Crypto users looking to transfer and spend their digital assets across the European Economic Area (EEA) are in luck, as a Visa-backed debit card by Gate Group offers a “seamless” way for many EEA users to integrate their daily transactions with their daily transactions.

The Gate Group card, operated entirely in euros by the international Visa network, offers crypto holders more than a few benefits.

More than 2,500 cryptocurrencies are supported

For starters, the Gate team implemented a comprehensive reward structure designed to encourage regular use. Cardholders receive 1% USDT cashback on all transactions, while new users enjoy double rewards in the first month.

The program extends beyond basic purchases – travelers can earn up to 7% cashback on hotel bookings and 2% on flight bookings through the Gate travel platform. The card also integrates with Google Pay for convenient contactless payments, enhancing the user experience in millions of locations worldwide.

The card will also integrate with Gate Group's existing infrastructure. Through the platform's Flashwap feature, cardholders can top-up their cards using a variety of different cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin and Ethereum, while GateConnect facilitates direct crypto purchases in nearly 100 fiat currencies.

Users who spend more than 300 euros per month automatically unlock Get VIP status, which allows them to access a special level of benefits. This premium level includes discounted trade fees, preferential loan rates and placement in startup airdrops. The program rewards regular use and provides tangible benefits to crypto enthusiasts and merchants alike, creating overall benefits for cardholders.

“Seamless” integration and accessibility

Gate Group prioritized accessibility in the design of the card, giving users both virtual and physical options. Virtual cards are available immediately after approval, allowing instant transactions manually for those who don't want to wait. The physical cards will arrive within 7-45 days.

The virtual and physical cards are operated from the same account, which ensures consistent access to funding, and the virtual card incurs no monthly, annual, or application fees. European transactions are exempt from foreign exchange fees.

A future-ready solution

The application process mirrors current financial regulations, requiring EEA residents to complete full KYC verification through the Gate Group platform. This includes identity documents and proof of life to verify the authenticity of the user. Each Gate Group account is limited to one card, separate accounts are required for additional family member cards.

Gate Group has implemented customer protection measures including a 45-day reissue policy for delayed physical cards. Looking ahead, Gate Group confirmed plans to expand its card offering beyond the EEA, to integrate traditional payment infrastructure with digital asset capabilities and address the growing trend of crypto-to-fiat payment solutions.
