Google has been accused of stealing $5 million worth of crypto, which was lost in a ‘malicious' wallet app downloaded from the company's Play Store. According to the victim, Maria Vaca, she downloaded the wallet app from the Play Store thinking it was legitimate. However, the app was turned ‘malicious' and crypto assets worth $5 million were lost. The plaintiff is said to have opted for a legal remedy through a California state court to challenge the tech giant for allowing malicious apps on its Play Store platform.
