Greek Stock Exchange Eyes Sui Blockchain On-Chain Fundraising Tool



The Greek Stock Exchange has announced that it is considering launching its new tool, the Electronic Book Building (EBB), on the Sui blockchain ecosystem.

In a blog post on March 6, he revealed that EBB will be developed in collaboration between the Athens Exchange Group (ATHEX) and Myston Labs, a major contributor to the Sui ecosystem.

ATHEX EBB will be a new fundraiser in the future, allowing early-stage and mature companies to list transferable securities. Sui hosts ATHEX securities, which, if played, pose as digital certificates.

“In this form, they are protected by a chain of custody with strong security and transparency that can be transmitted,” he wrote. While blockchain technology appears to be a “natural fit” for stock market-related strategies, EBB's launch on Sui highlighted that it will be one of the first to use the technology in this way.

EBB can deploy a blockchain-based “meta-layer” on top of ATHEX's existing trading order pipeline. According to the blog post, the tool provides funding for business proposals to companies looking to raise funds.

The announcement is that the collaboration of the project is still in the evaluation stage and will focus on implementation and ATHEX will choose blockchain technology to host the new device.
