Hamster Kombat has revealed its 2025 plans with a new roadmap.
Popular Telegram clicker game Hamster Kombat has announced plans for the remainder of 2024 and into 2025 to expand its gaming offerings, including the launch of the Web3 gaming platform.
On September 25, the team behind Web3 Gaming unveiled a new roadmap detailing its plans for the final quarter of 2024 and 2025. Hamster Kombat says its remaining plans for 2024 include integrating external payment systems and launching new games within the Hamster ecosystem. and integrating non-perishable tokens (NFTs) as in-game assets.
The Hamster Kombat team says it is in a “unique position” to create a Web3 gaming platform with gamers and industry developers. The team also says it has the technology and experience to make things easier for game developers.
After its first release, Hamster Kombat quickly attracted millions of players. The clicker game went viral, attracting 239 million users in its first 81 days. Since then, the game has logged more than 300 million users.
How Hamster Kombat keeps users engaged after the air drop
On September 23rd, the Hamster Combat team revealed the lineup for the highly anticipated airdrop event. Of its 300 million users, only 131 million are eligible to receive the airdrop. This represents only 43% of its total users.
Hamster Kombat claims to have banned 2.3 million users from the game for cheating.
One of the challenges for Web 3 games is keeping users engaged after airdrops. However, the team behind Hamster Kombat says it has strategies for user retention. The team told Cointelegraph that the value of the tokens distributed to users after the airdrop could be worth more. And they said so.
“11.25% of tokens will be distributed after season 1 and will be opened ten months after the listing. Considering the rapid development of the project, the value of these tokens will be comparable to the initial opening.”
The team says it will focus on the value proposition of games in the ecosystem, not just revenue. “This approach is different from the traditional approach where Web3 developers pay drop hunters,” he added.
The team says it plans to bring more players on board by combining the best of Web2 and Web3 and creating engaging content.

Hamster Kombat plans to buy back the token and burn it
According to the Hamster Combat team, the company will launch a dedicated ad network that will be used by games within the Hamster ecosystem. The roadmap sees this being released in December 2024.
The team also indicated that the revenue from the ad network will be used to buy back tokens and rewards. They wrote:
“We also plan to use advertising revenue to purchase tokens from the marketplace for regular distribution to players.”
Token purchases work similarly to stock purchases to hedge against price volatility. The concept refers to using the resources to buy the tokens at the market price.
Meanwhile, token burns occur when crypto projects send tokens to burn addresses that permanently destroy them. This creates scarcity and can lead to token price appreciation.
In addition, Web3 Gaming announced plans to create an NFT marketplace in 2025, host a competitive clan championship, and facilitate the second phase of the airdrop.
