Global digital asset leader Hashkey Capital and Web3 news outlet Decrypt are proud to announce the launch of a partnership across Asia Pacific (APAC) and LiberEast Media, currently the largest in the region.
The Nibr East Media Council is comprised of leading blockchain media members from across the APAC region and beyond, including:
Europe & America: Decrypt Japan: Crypto Times: Coinpost Korea: Santimnes: Tokenpost Vietnam: Coin68 Thailand: Cryptomind Group: Bitcoin Addict Indonesia: Coinvestasi China: PANews, Visionary News, Blockbeats, Odaily, Techflow, Chaincatcher, Blocktempo, Wu Blockchain
Set to officially launch with an MOU signing ceremony at Thailand's Blockchain Week 2024 on November 10, Layer East Media will focus on helping western Web3 projects navigate and grow in the Asia-Pacific region. Different markets in APAC have their own distinct cultural differences in how companies promote their products and services, provide market education to prospective consumers, and ultimately target customers.
By understanding the diverse business landscape of Asia-Pacific, Layer East Media helps businesses overcome the often difficult challenge. The alliance helps share important news to start the process of better engaging local users.
In this way, Layer East Media serves as a source and information clearinghouse for all stakeholders in the sector—web3 media, creative web3 brands, and investors and policymakers—across the various Asia-Pacific markets.
“We are delighted to launch this alliance of Asia's top Web3 media outlets,” said Ilan Hazan, founder of Decrypt. “It's a step towards reshaping the role of media in the age of Web 3. Integrating leading crypto publications across Asia, Layer East Media is positioned at the forefront of a new media model—one that thrives on collaboration, transparency, and innovative business models.
The launch of Layer East Media is a major turning point for Web 3 Media, said Sia Yang, Head of Marketing at HashKey Capital. “This moment marks the beginning of a powerful collaboration, bringing together Asia's top blockchain media platforms to shape high-impact narratives, enhance the region's global Web3 influence, and support pioneering Western projects in digital assets and decentralized technologies,” Yang said.
The association has three basic principles.
Increase Transparency: Reliable, accurate reporting in the Web3 space. Empowering Innovators and Investors: Provide insights, research and expertise to support informed decision making. Adoption Collaboration: Connect media outlets and Web3 projects to drive innovation and engagement with consumers who can benefit from their products and services.
These outlets were carefully selected after a long canvassing process and ultimately selected based on the quality of their news coverage, their commitment to journalistic integrity and their ability to deliver accurate and timely stories from a variety of perspectives.
Layer East Media Council members benefit from exclusive content and interviews, industry insights, collaborative initiatives, joint events, and opportunities to expand their readership and customer base in multiple Asian markets and the region's fast-growing digital property community.
Web3 companies will benefit from direct media access to Layer East Media Alliance members, broad access to global and local Web3 communities, access to key markets across Asia, and collaboration with partners.
Like most Web3 projects, Layer East Media has an official roadmap for development. From 2025, the alliance will participate in the largest crypto, Web3 and fintech events and collaborate with major capital companies and communities to expand its reach and impact.
The fellowship is open to all qualified media outlets in the APAC region who share the vision. Media outlets interested in joining can contact the HashKey Capital team by email at capital.communications@hashkey.com.
