A Bloomberg article says so.
“The collaboration allows users of Microsoft products who are blind or visually impaired to troubleshoot hardware issues or navigate tasks such as installing a new version of Windows software or describing a PowerPoint presentation – all without human assistance.”
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman mentioned Be My Eyes' use of GPT during OpenAI's first developer conference. Additionally, OpenAI COO Brad Lightcap said:
“OpenAI is proud to work with Be My Eyes. They have used our AI models to improve the daily lives of people with low vision or vision problems.
According to AI Eyes test data, the AI tool made blind users spend an average of four minutes on a call, up from the previous average of 12 minutes with human assistance. And only 10% of Be My AI calls escalated to human customer service representatives.

However, Snapchat's My AI, which also uses OpenAI technology, has been banned in the UK. The regulators believe Snapchat failed to adequately assess the risks to millions of My AI users.
Because of this, only the future will determine the success of Microsoft's Be My Eyes partnership.
