Hulk Hogan dismisses memecoin shilling posts on X — 'Not from me'

Retired professional wrestler “Hulk Hogan” Solana's memecoin HULKAMAnia (HULK) claimed no responsibility for several now-deleted X posts.

“Please ignore any posts made today,” Hogan — real name Terry Gene Bollia — wrote in a June 5 Instagram post. “They are not from me and will be removed immediately.”

The entirety of Hogan X's posts have been removed, but a Google search cache shows that the Hogan X account has made several posts promoting Solana-based token HULK.

“NO ONE CAN COMPETE $HULK EVEN YOUR MOM!” A cached text appears to conflict with rapper Iggy Azalea's mother Iggy (mother) memecoin. Another shared a link to the token on DEX Screener.

Additional posts shared by Mashable reporter Matt Binder, which Cointelegraph was unable to independently verify, appear to indicate that Hogan's video is referring to the token launch, but Binder noted a video promoting a karaoke night from December.

HULK on June 6, 7:40 pm UTC – reached a market cap of $18.8 million – an hour and a half after its debut.

Then 20 minutes later it dropped to a market value of $2 million, where it stayed there, as reported by DEX Screener.

Data from crypto analytics firm Bubblemaps shows that before Hogan shared the X token, 15% of HULK's supply was made up of five wallets purchased on meme token startup platform pump.fun.

The wallets sold 200,000 wallets worth $1.5 million as of June 6, around 8:00 pm UTC, according to Bubblemaps.

It's unclear if Hogan's account was hacked, and if so, how it happened. Hogan's team did not respond to a request for comment.

The claimed hack comes as B-list celebrities launch their own crypto token.

Reality TV star Caitlyn Jenner, along with rappers Iggy Azalea and Rich the Kid, endorsed Solana-themed tokens last month.

All of them – except for Azalea's mother – have accumulated more than 60%. Mother has been on a high lately as the fancy rapper has been backed by her pledge to clean up her token.
