Next, the Horizon Blockchain Games Platform has partnered with Google Cloud to bring a fully-stacked Web3 game development suite to cloud users.

The goal of the integration is to make it easier for Web3 developers to use Web3 architecture tools on Google's industry-standard cloud computing platform.

Horizon Blockchain Games launched in 2019 with a $2.75 million seed round. In the year Starting with a Series A round in 2022, the company has reportedly raised $53.3 million in four rounds from its NFT/trading card game “Skyweaver” and the strength of its technology stack.

Sequence is an “exceptionally complete”, full-stack web3 developer platform with tools covering wallets and accounts, marketplaces, smart contract management, analytics, indicators, forwarders, nodes and plugins for Unity, Unreal, web and mobile.

The new partnership with Google Cloud features full integration of the Sequence Development platform.

Jack Boozer, director of strategic industries at Google Cloud, said in a press release that the sequence makes the game process easier for developers.

“The series gives game developers the freedom to focus on crafting unique gameplay. This collaborative sequence removes the complexity of Web3 technology, ensuring a fun and exciting experience for both developers and players.”

Greg Kenesa, president and COO, respectively, said the platform's overall goal has always been to allow developers to “focus on making great games without understanding the complexities of Web3.”

Unfortunately, we've seen that the complexity of understanding and building blockchain infrastructure has taken cycles away from creating the process of making great games that people love, which in turn has led to some low-quality experiences. It turned players off the whole concept. Integrating Web3 shouldn't be any more difficult than setting up a game server, and the Google Cloud ethos matches ours perfectly.
