India to train 3,000 police officers in crypto investigations by 2022-2023
An annual report from India's Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has indicated that officials from various cyber crime and police departments were trained in crypto forensics and investigation in the financial year 2022–2023.
As the MHA highlighted, the Narcotics Control Bureau – India's central law enforcement and intelligence agency – has 141 officers on darknet and cryptocurrencies and other digital trail-related workshops and gathering information and evidence from open source and social media, to name a few.
In addition, India's Cyber Crime Coordination Center has trained more than 2,800 cyber police officers in crypt forensics and investigations and other new technologies like anonymization networks and mobile applications to investigate misuse in cyberspace.

As India prepares to tackle potential crypto-related crimes through greater adoption, the country continues to explore major use cases in blockchain. India's state-run oil and gas company Hindustan Petroleum (HPCL) has recently launched a blockchain system to automate the validation of purchase orders (POs).
HPL It partnered with blockchain software firm Zupple Labs to integrate blockchain-based digital authentication technology into a purchase order system.
An HPCL spokesperson told Cointelegraph, “The application will help automate the verification of HPCL POs to third parties.” This will be done by integrating the blockchain system with HPCL's internal e-PO and create transparently authenticated PoSs, the representative said.
