Inferno Drainer Said He Was Shut Down After I Helped Steal $70M In Crypt.

Inferno Drainer, one of the most popular crypto wallet-draining kits for hire, says it's shutting down for good after helping scammers steal nearly $70 million worth of crypto this year.

“It's time to move on,” the team behind Inferno Drainer said in a November 26 Telegram post. However, the files and infrastructure needed to run the wallet drain are not destroyed, but instead remain active so users can “smooth transition” to other services.

“It has been a long journey with all of you and we would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts. [sic]. Unfortunately, nothing lasts forever.

“Big thanks [sic] To all who have worked with us,” he added. “We hope that you will remember us as the best water dispenser and that we have succeeded in helping you in your efforts to earn money.”

The Inferno Drainer gained popularity earlier this year and has seen increased use since the popular monkey drainer was shut down. Like all its peers, Inferno Crypto offers wallet draining software and reduces user theft by 20%.

Since February, Inferno Drainer has defrauded more than 100,000 victims of nearly $70 million, according to an analysis by Web3's anti-fraud platform Scam Sniffer. However, the Inferno Drainer team indicated that the amount stolen was more than $80 million.

The Inferno Drainer team has deleted the Telegram account “mr_inferno_drainer” used to organize the service and warned users not to trust other drainers using the name in the future.
