It has been reported that the cross-chain protocol Orbit Bridge has received an exploit of 82 million dollars
Hackers reportedly used the Orbit Chain Protocol bridge service three hours before ringing in the new year to the tune of $82 million.
In a Dec. 31 post to X (formerly Twitter), the pseudonymous Twitter user Kgjr drew attention to the potential exploit, pointing to a series of large streams from the Orbit Chain Bridge protocol. Onchain Sleuth Officer CIA and blockchain security institute Syvers have released similar information.

According to data from blockchain analytics platform Arkham Intelligence, the hackers appear to have made a total of $81.68 million in ill-gotten gains.
The stolen funds included $30 million in Tether (USDT), $10 million in US dollars, 9,500 Ether (Ether), 231 packets of Bitcoin (WBTC), and $10 million in the algorithmic stable coin DAI (DAI). To many hot wallets.
