JPMorgan Chase is forming a new division focused on helping companies raise private capital, The Wall Street Journal reported Friday.
Called Private Capital Advisory & Solutions, the new division combines M&A advice with capital market expertise to connect companies seeking private funding with investors and provide guidance on early-stage equity, preferred stock, convertible bonds and secondary funds.
The move comes as JPMorgan's private markets outpace public markets, with companies and investors looking for more flexible ways to raise and deploy capital beyond traditional IPOs or sales.
