The zero-knowledge authentication-powered Layer-2 blockchain Manta Network experienced a widespread denial-of-service (DDoS) attack when it was successfully listed on multiple exchanges.
According to Kenny Lee, co-founder of P0xeidon Labs, the cryptography development team behind the Manta network, blockchain nodes experienced more than 135 million remote procedure calls (RPC) on January 18. “Blockchain is working safely” and “money is safe,” Lee said. However, Lee cautioned that “the relationship between applications and blockchain is very limited.” The co-founder commented:
“I'm sure, we're not going anywhere. We have been building for three years, and we do not see the end. Thank you so much for your support as a community.
