Metaplex shows the Solana Index and Data Delivery Network
The Metaplex Foundation announced the Metaplex Aura Network on September 23, 2024. Aura is a decentralized indexing and data delivery platform designed to extend Solana and Solana virtual machine networks. MPLX price increased by 12% amid the news and general crypto market surge.
The Metaplex Foundation, the nonprofit that supports the Metaplex protocol, announced a new decentralized index and data access layer for Solana (SOL).

Aura Network enables Metaplex to expand its developer solution, providing developers with three key networking components – data availability, multi-program indexing and elastic state management. The main benefits include flexibility, optimization and extensibility.

Metaplex adopted a community approach to launch
As detailed in a blog post , the Metaplex Foundation chose a “community-driven approach” when looking to bring the Metaplex Aura network to market. This provided Solana and SMM developer engagement, feedback, and an opportunity for the Metaplex team to explore early implementation.
In addition, the release involved more than 25 unique projects ranging from NFT marketplaces, game development, infrastructure providers and launchpads to innovators and SVM layer 2 networks. Metaplex opens up the code of the Aura platform so that developers from around the world can contribute and take advantage of the tools and protocols available.
MPLX, which was trading near $0.36 early Monday, is up more than 12 percent in 24-hour gains. These findings boosted the token price above $0.42. Daily volume was up 87 percent to $2.8 million on buying pressure caused by broad market gains.
Overall bullish momentum helped Avee's price hit a two-year high in early trading. As AI tokens grew, so did Arkam.
