Microstrategy bought more bitcoins worth $1.1 billion
MicroStrategy has made an impressive financial move by trading $1.1 billion worth of shares for 18,300 Bitcoins (BTC). A recent Form 8-K filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) confirmed the acquisition.
It took place between August 6, 2024 and September 12, 2024.

As a result, MicroStrategy's total Bitcoin holdings increased to about 244,800, with an average of $38,585 per Bitcoin.
Following a strategic plan, the company on August 1 announced sales agreements with prominent firms such as TD Securities (USA) LLC and The Benchmark Company, LLC.
This agreement allows MicroStrategy to issue shares of Class A common stock, which may amount to up to $2.0 billion.
On September 13, 2024, the Company announced that it had sold 8,048,449 shares pursuant to a sale agreement effective September 12, 2024 for total net proceeds (less sales commissions) of approximately $1.11 billion to the Company. The Form 8-K filing is referenced.
Despite this, since August 1, MicroStrategy's share price has fallen by about 20%.

At this state level, microstrategies bought each for an average of $60,400. This acquisition reflects the company's belief in Bitcoin as a valuable long-term investment.
