Moonbeam, Animo joins forces to promote Web3 games.
Moonbeam Network has partnered with blockchain gaming platform Animo Industries. The platform aims to bring Web3 games to the masses, The Block reported.
Moonbeam, a smart contract platform for cross-chain applications, is reportedly eyeing expansion into the Web3 gaming space.
A news release from The Block today revealed that the platform has partnered with blockchain game developer Animo Industries to help bring crypto gaming to more people around the world.
Moonbeam Foundation's head of ecosystem development, Siko Net, said the partnership will bring more than just an effort to promote mass adoption of Web3 games.
Taking the crypto game beyond P2E
According to Net, the partnership is part of the company's “wider strategy to move blockchain games away from the traditional play-to-earn model and technology for its own sake.”
The partnership is about putting players in the driving seat of the creative economy, focusing on introducing meaningful services as part of Web3's gameplay mechanics, Naets added.
As the two projects target more adoption for crypto gaming, Moonbeam will provide gifts, while Animo will use Moonbeam's technology to capture player purchases and in-game assets.
The merger will see players get access to such assets – Web2 or Web3 – from a single marketplace. The convenience this brings could lead to increased interest in blockchain games, Nate said.
