New Hampshire'S First Municipal Bond Is Sponsored



The bond allows companies to raise capital held by private investors without selling or taxing capital.

The state of New Hampshire approved the first municipal debt instrument to be supported by Bitcoin (BTC).

Industry observers say the move opens the door for digital assets to enter the global debt market.

Journalist Insero Terret, the state's Business Finance Authority (BFA) announced on Monday that 100 million dollars of BNACC. The initiative allows companies to borrow money using excess BTC held by a private security guard. Security is also structured as a bond, meaning it does not rely on taxpayer money or hold any state financial guarantees.

Designed by Storm Digital Assets and Rosemary Management, the offering requires a loan of approximately 160% of the value of the property as a loss. Investors have also been opened to protect investors from falling below 130%.

This allows participants to unlock capital without selling their cryptos or tax preparation. Meanwhile, transaction fees and revenues are used to support the local Bibione Economic Development Fund.

New Hampshire is coming out months later to allow 5% of public money to be invested in digital assets with AG public money. “I'm proud of New Hampshire for this historic Bitcoin-backed bond to once again tackle new technologies,” Governor Kelly Atty said after the bill was passed in May.
